Let's face it... 16 months was too long to wait to have so much
fun. This year about three times the people were here, with piles
of parts on tables, on truck beds, in trunks, and throughout the
grounds. Lots of people were here to wheel and deal, so there was
a 535i/735i swap, and a 325/big 6 swap that came out of it, as well
as one guy actually taking the opportunity to install his new (used)
roll bar in his show-quality 2002 tii. He had a list of parts that
was about half as big when he left.
There were obscure parts, like the tow hitch for a euro 7 and it's
turbo / air intake. There were lots of items for newer cars, like
e36 lights/taillights, instrument clusters and several sets of various
sized wheels.
The brats were not soggy like in '05, because it was a beautiful
warm October day in Denver. Several were cooked a bit on the crispy
side, but the sodas were cold, and someone brought a bunch of tasty
German lunch treats called Runza-style sandwiches that are apparently
the rage in Nebraska, but largely unknown in Denver... not for long!
MMM-MMMMM, good!
If you weren't here, you missed a great time, as well as a demonstration
of an incredible German analysis tool that can literally reprogram
your Bimmer's computer, as well as tell us exactly what's
wrong with real-time metrics from the on-board computer. So, if
you want to really know what's wrong with your car, and get it fixed
without the guesswork, drop it in for an analysis at the shop: 187
W. Alameda Ave. in Denver, CO.
Cheers!
